Frequently Asked Questions

We are probably forgetting a few things so please don’t hesitate to email us at loloandwillwedding@gmail.com with any other questions!

We will keep updating this page with additional items as the event gets closer.

What is the transportation situation?

Getting to the venue:

There should be ample parking at the venue. If the onsite parking is full, we will have directions to nearby street parking and public parking lots.

Taxis to the venue:

We recommend calling the taxi service Mon Chauffeur 64 reachable at +33 07 62 14 66 64 any time you need transportation. Other taxi services are listed here. There is Uber here, but a limited number of drivers so we wouldn’t rely only on them.

Shuttle/Taxi from the venue:

We will be providing transportation from the venue Saturday night for two to three hours. More details will be posted soon. It will likely be a cab we have hired for the evening who will be parked at the venue for our guests.

Getting to the area:

We will be flying to Paris, taking the train to Saint-Jean-de-Luz, and renting a car at the Saint-Jean-de-Luz airport.

You can also fly to Biarritz or Bilbao and then rent a car. You can get by without renting a car, but if you plan to sightsee, we would recommend it.

What town should I stay in?

If staying near the venue is important to you (and the hotel has availability), we would recommend Sare.

If you are visiting for multiple days and want to stay at just one place, we would recommend the beach town of Saint-Jean-de-Luz.

Sare – 5 minutes to the venue – A traditional Basque village at the base of the Pyrénées where Lolo grew up. Its traditional houses, pelota court, majestic church of St Martin, and unspoiled environment are all attractions that add to its charm. View the lodging info on our home page

Saint-Jean-de-Luz – 25 minutes to the venueBetween Biarritz and the Spanish border, the Atlantic fishing village of Saint-Jean-de-Luz combines Basque charm with pleasant, family-friendly beaches on the bay. View the lodging info on our home page.

Biarritz – 40 minutes to the venue – A stylish beach town north of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Biarritz was once the vacation spot for nobility and is now Europe’s surfing capital. You’ll see affluent vacationers in designer gear and surfers in flip-flops. View the lodging info on our home page

What is your covid-19 policy?

You are one of many loved ones joining us! To make this beautiful day safe and carefree for everyone, we are taking some extra safety precautions.

We kindly require all guests to be vaccinated to attend the wedding. Please email a picture of your vaccination card to loloandwillwedding@gmail.com by April 30, 2023 if you will be attending.

Do I need to book my lodging early?

If you plan on staying in Sare, we recommend booking as early as possible, as the Hotel Arraya is the village’s only hotel.

Accomodations in Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Biarritz should not be difficult to arrange. Both are vacation destinations, but the start of peak season isn’t until June.

What is the dress code?

Formal or cocktail attire. The ceremony will be outside, weather permitting. In mid-May, Sare averages a high of 67 F and low of 52 F.
